    Our Story

Devio Early Childhood Institute was founded in 2013 by Lily Kudzro, a social entrepreneur who is dedicated to transforming education for children, with and without disabilities.

After dropping out of university in 2009, Lily sought ways to make a positive impact on children's lives, inspired by the challenges she faced growing up in Ghana and witnessing the limitations imposed by societal and educational systems on learners. This vision led to the creation of Devio Arts Centre, now known as Devio Early Childhood Institute.

Under her leadership, Devio has pioneered numerous innovations within the educational community, championing children's rights, advocating for quality learning, and equipping teachers with the tools and resources they need to succeed.

To contribute to a transformative early childhood education landscape where every child thrives in a nurturing, dynamic, and inclusive environment. In this vision, we aspire to shape a future where early childhood education is recognized as a cornerstone of lifelong learning and development, empowering the next generation of leaders and innovators.

 We envision a future where:

Teachers and educators are empowered and equipped with innovative strategies and resources to foster lifelong skills in young children.

Classrooms and learning spaces are vibrant hubs of creativity and exploration, where play is embraced as a vital component of learning, allowing children to express themselves and develop critical thinking skills.

All children, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities, are celebrated and supported, ensuring that every learner feels valued and included in their educational journey.

Schools prioritize the recruitment and ongoing professional development of skilled educators who are responsive to the diverse needs of their students, fostering an environment of excellence.

Education encompasses the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of every child, preparing them to become well-rounded individuals ready to engage with the world.Teachers
